Daniel Penz is the two time Emmy Award winning principal and creator of Penz Productions.
Daniel has lent his voice to dozens of audiobooks, and a wide range of clients, including: Amazon/Audible.com, the American Heart Association, the Cox School of Business at SMU, Falken Tires, JCPenney, Medieval Times, Nutrasystems, Okratron 5000, PRIMEDIA WPL, Ross Perot, Samsung, Bishop TD Jakes, JPS Health Services, PBS, Tantor Media, Time Warner Cable, WalMart, Winchester Safes, Weir Oil and Gas, and FUNimation (roles include Baki the Grappler, Basilisk, Black Blood Brothers, Black Cat, Case Closed, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Z:Kai, Full Metal Alchemist, Michiko & Hatchin, One Piece and Samurai 7) to name a few.
He was the voice of the character "Hunter Helquist" in the hit game Borderlands 2, contributed voices to Age of Empires Online, and was the original voice for the character of Max Payne.
With more than twenty years in audio and video production, Daniel has produced work for a wide variety of companies and organizations, including: the AMS Production Group, CBS, the Cox School of Business at SMU, the Dallas Symphony, JCPenney, K Co. Kids, PRIMEDIA Workplace Learning, Safari Productions, Southwest Festivals, and Texas811 to name a few.
Daniel’s work has won a wide variety of honors. In addition to the above-mentioned Emmy Awards, he also holds two Edward R. Murrow awards, ten Telly awards, three Texas Associated Press awards, the ‘Silver Gavel Award’ from the Texas State Bar, and three Phillbin awards from the Dallas Bar Association (including one Grand Prize). He also includes multiple Videographer and Communicator awards to his credit.
With a list far too long to include, Daniel has been active in live theater since his childhood. Most notably, he was a Show Manager and Master of Ceremonies for Medieval Times, with nearly a thousand performances under his belt, a member of a number of Murder Mystery dinner theater troupes, and a performer, instructor and member of the Steering Committee at Scarborough Faire: The Renaissance Festival for 15 years.
Daniel holds a Bachelors in Theater from the University of North Texas, and a Marketing Certificate from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
